Description:

The Sugarlands Rock House Ruins are an historic site located on the Old Sugarlands Trail in Gatlinburg, TN. The ruins consist of the remains of a rock house that was built in the early 1900s by the park's first naturalist, Paul Fink. The rock house was constructed using natural materials found in the area, including rocks and logs, and served as a residence for Fink and his family. It's said that Fink used the rock house as a place to study the local flora and fauna, and to conduct experiments in conservation. Today, the ruins of the Sugarlands Rock House are a popular destination for hikers and history enthusiasts.
