The Elephant Sanctuary

Providing a safe haven for retired elephants from zoos and circuses, the Elephant Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving these large mammals a home for the rest of their long lives. Currently, the sanctuary is home to 14 elephants from Asia and Africa. Although the sanctuary is not open to the public, they allow walk-in visitors to view the elephants from a videocam in the Welcome Center.
