Across The Street Diner in Corsicana, Texas, traces its roots back to 1905 when it opened as Hashop’s Pharmacy and Soda Fountain and has since become one of the oldest continuously operating soda fountains in the state. The diner was later renamed after its owner had previously run a business “across the street,” and it has kept much of its nostalgic charm along with classic menu items like the historic Hashop’s roast beef sandwich. Today the diner is known for hearty American breakfast and lunch comfort foods, its old-fashioned soda fountain, and connections to Corsicana’s culinary history including early Wolf Brand Chili lore.
