Perched atop Scenic Mountain, Big Spring State Park offers sweeping views of the surrounding West Texas landscape and the city below. Established in 1934, the park was developed in part by the Civilian Conservation Corps, whose stonework and structures still add historic charm to the rugged terrain. Today, visitors come for hiking, camping, picnicking, and unforgettable sunsets that stretch wide across the open plains.
