Description:

Cinco de Mayo is known as an alcohol-infused holiday, but its origins started in Goliad, Texas with the birth of Ignacio Seguin Zaragoza. He would later become the hero of Cinco de Mayo in the year 1862 when Mexico defeated Napoleon's French Empire at the Battle of Puebla. Zaragoza's birthplace and statue are placed next to Presidio La Bahia.
