Description:

The Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls, Texas, opened in 1929 on Main Street and moved to its current location on U.S. Highway 281 near Lake Marble Falls in 1946. After several ownership changes, John and Belinda Kemper took over in 1981, revitalizing the cafe while keeping its nostalgic charm and famous comfort food. Known for all-day breakfast, hearty Southern classics, and its renowned pies, the cafe has become a beloved Texas landmark, and in 2025 it was named the state’s most beloved local business, ranking 11th nationally. Its name honors an old-fashioned blue bonnet hat, not the Texas wildflower.
