Description:
A pair of black, horn-rimmed glasses marks the entrance of the Buddy Holly Center, dedicated to the bespectacled, guitar-strumming singer who was most famous for "Peggy Sue." The city of Lubbock built this museum to celebrate Holly who was born here in 1936, but tragically killed at 22 when his airplane crashed in Iowa. The museum also has a wealth of information on the musical culture of Lubbock and regularly hosts live music events.
