Description:

Most of America is familiar with the Alamo, but Goliad was also a decisive battle. This monument is dedicated to Colonel James Fannin and his men who were executed by Mexican forces in 1836. It's also their final resting place - their names displayed at the top of the stairs. It's a must-see for military history buffs!
