Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier

Because a small portion of Texas also makes up a part of the Gulf coast, those coastal towns take full advantage of their favorable geographic position. Galveston is no exception, with its aptly named Pleasure Pier. Burgers, pizza, shrimp, cotton candy, roller coasters, and antique photos are among the attractions. Try to grab an Uber or Lyft, though. Parking is scarce, and you might want a couple of beers before heading home!
