Inspired by MIM in William Joyce's "The Guardians" series, the Man in the Moon sculpture was unveiled in 2014. It's a 23-foot-tall sculpture which lights up each night and was created by Pedro Rivera. It is once of six sculptures in the series, each one in a different place around Abilene.
