Description:
A new statue of an Apollo astronaut was installed outside a McDonald's near NASA in Houston, just in time for the Apollo 11 moon landing anniversary. The 13-foot statue, wearing an Apollo-style spacesuit and holding McDonald's fries, replaces a similar landmark that stood at the restaurant’s previous location for 25 years. Created by artist John Knott, it commemorates the area's space history and provides a photo opportunity for visitors. The statue is part of the restaurant's unique connection to nearby NASA.
