Description:
In the late 1600s the Spanish began colonizing present-day South Texas. Founded by Franciscan priests in 1722, the mission was moved three times before settling permanently in what is now Goliad State Park. The two prominent structures on the grounds are the chapel and the Presidio La Bahia.
