Description:
Settled by Germans in the late 1800s, this town was originally named Brandenburg. After World War I the citizens of the town petitioned the post office to change the name to Old Glory in a show of patriotism - and, of course, German names had a negative connotation for decades into the 20th century. Today, Old Glory has a population of 100.
