Description:

Padre Island may only have a population of just under 3,000, but you won't have a lack of activities - particularly if you're a water baby. This resort town specializes in water sports such as fishing, kiteboarding, or other watercraft sports. If you're not particularly athletic, you can participate in dolphin watching, or ride horses on the beach. Like any resort town, July is the busiest month - so reserve your dates for the autumn or early winter if you hate the crowds!
