Shamrock Water Tower

If this historic tower looks higher to you than others you've seen, you would be correct! It's the tallest of its type in the state of Texas at 175 feet. It was built in 1915 and is an essential part of Shamrock's economy; thousands of people visit it each year. Even though it's more than a century old it's still active and is a great backup when the town has to shut off its water every so often. Shamrock is very proud of its tower which has a visitor's guide, garden, and mural on the ground below it. (Submitted by Rick Boales)
