Target Marathon

An art installation which has not been claimed by anyone has a red bullseye and the "TARGET" logo emblazoned on the front. Known as the tiniest Target store this one isn't sanctioned by the department store megacorp meaning you won't find a Dollar Bin with the latest felt toys and kitschy baubles here. The juxtaposition of the comfortingly familiar Helvetica font logo against a barren backdrop of the Texas desert landscape is a disturbing proposition, maybe bringing to mind what a dystopian world might look like. Perhaps this was the intent of the anonymous artist.
