Waskom Public Library

In early 2018, Chris Opp's art installation transformed the Waskom Public Library in Texas into a captivating focal point along Highway 80 and downtown. The installation features a 6-foot-tall apple with a 20-foot-tall pencil piercing through it atop the roof, accompanied by a row of 12, towering, 22-foot-tall books facing Highway 80. Additionally, a dedicated tribute to the historic Texas-Pacific Railroad, once passing through Waskom, graces the building's side and front.
