Description:
Grafton seemed like a good place to start a town in 1859. However, frequent floods and clogged irrigation ditches proved to be a major hassle for the town's farmers. The settlers slowly moved out and resettled in more flood-resistant locations. The town last saw inhabitants in 1944. Now, Grafton Ghost Town is a preserved historical site, with the continued support of nearby residents. If you're looking for a job, and you like to live in spooky, abandoned towns, supposedly the Grafton Heritage Partnership is looking for a full-time caretaker to live on the premises.
