Grand Staircase

The Grand Staircase is a stunning colossal geological masterpiece, but it also has a wealth of informative value too. The staircase shows a slice of history - layers upon layers of rock show a timeline that is 4 billion years old. Standing here is to see and touch history, just shy of the earth's supposed 500 million years before this rocky timeline. Perhaps the most extraordinary piece of natural architecture is the Peek-a-Boo Gulch, a.k.a. Spooky Gulch. (Photo by Gina Carlos)
