Historic Stormont Silver Mill

The lava rock foundation of a water-powered mill are all that's left in this ghost town with a silver mining past. Located along the Red Cliffs Desert Preserve, the old site lies alongside Virgin River - making for a pretty drive and hiking area. Getting there can prove to be difficult in a regular 2-wheel car; visitors highly recommend an all-terrain type vehicle. (Submitted by Mike Williams)
