Description:
Idle Isle Café in Brigham City, Utah opened in 1921 as a small ice cream and candy shop before growing into a full café that became a beloved local landmark for more than a century. Known for its original wood booths and classic soda fountain, it served generations of guests and remained one of Utah’s oldest continuously operating restaurants. The café earned a loyal following for its comforting dishes such as pot roast, hot turkey sandwiches with gravy, meatloaf, and turkey dinners, along with house-baked rolls and apricot marmalade. Visitors also loved its desserts, especially the signature idleberry pie and its old fashioned shakes and ice cream.
