The landlocked state of Utah lacks ocean views, but it still remains one of the most stunning landscapes in the mainland U.S. This museum focuses on the amazing features of Utah and the Intermountain West region. It houses more than 1.6 million objects - fossils, antiquities, and archaeological finds. The paleontology collection is comprised of 12,000 vertebrates, 4,000 invertebrates, and 7,000 plants. With educational exhibits ranging from dinosaurs to gemstones, people of all ages will find something of interest here. (Submitted by Rajie Brown)
