Old Iron Town Historic Site

A short hike will take you past the ruins of an old iron factory. The beehive oven is still intact; read the interpretive signs to get the history of this iron ghost town. Additionally, there are ruins of an old house and other buildings. Young kids will have a great time discovering the ruins and structures that dot the landscape here. To get here from Cedar City, head west on UT-56 for approximately 20 miles. Turn south onto Old Iron Town Rd. Travel the gravel road for approximately five miles to the Old Iron Town ruins located on the left hand side.
