Description:

The dunes were formed by wind blowing sand into the area and then stacking it up into mounds. Over time, the sand was compacted and hardened, forming the petrified dunes that we see today. The Petrified Dunes are particularly notable for their unique colors and textures. The sandstone that makes up the dunes has been compressed and twisted into intricate patterns, creating a stunning visual display.
