Ratio: A Pile of Big Blocks

A fantastic 44-foot-high tower of concrete blocks seems randomly placed, but is actually arranged in a Fibonacci Sequence. It was financed by Herbert Steiner, a retired schoolteacher, and completed by Australian artist, Andrew Rogers. The "ratio" refers to the Golden Ratio of approximately 1.618 which can be found in the relationship between the consecutive numbers of the Fibonacci Sequence as well as in predictable patterns in the universe - from atoms, to stars, to anatomical measurements of different species.
