Surprise Arch

Located in the Fiery Furnace area of Arches National Park, Surprise Arch has a span of approximately 88 feet and a height of about 54 feet. It's a unique arch because it is actually two arches in one. The larger arch which is visible from the trail is a thin, delicate-looking span. However, when viewed from underneath it becomes apparent that there's a smaller arch nested inside the larger one, creating a stunning visual effect.
