The Zion Observation Point hike is an 8-mile, 4-6 hour round trip, strenuous hike - but it's worth it! This paved trail includes a lot of uphill climbs, but there are a lot of downhills on the way back. The trail is quite steep, but the views into Echo Canyon, Zion Canyon, down upon Angels Landing, and the Great White Throne are postcard picture perfect! The hike's length and altitude (2,100 feet) deter many, but there are fewer crowds here than at Angels Landing. The best time to hike here is in the summer in the early AM. To get to the trail's starting point, take a shuttle from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center to the seventh stop which is the Weeping Rock trailhead.
