Dorset Quarry

Dorset is a historical town for many reasons and the quarry is one such landmark. It may only be a favorite watering hole for people today but it took centuries to carve out the marble to make it into a gorgeous swimming spot. The marble hewn from this site has been used to make buildings of historical significance such as New York Public Library, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and Harvard Medical School.
