Description:
Built by the second oldest Trapp son, Werner, this lovely stone structure can be found uphill from the hotel. Before shipping out to fight in World War II he promised himself that he would build a chapel on the grounds of the lodge should he return safely. Thankfully, he did come back unharmed and thus built the chapel between 1945-1948. To get to the lodge take the I-95 to Waterbury Stowe Rd. and go north. Make a left on Mountain Rd., then a slight left on Luce Hill Rd. Follow this road to Trapp Hill Rd. and make a left. The lodge will be about a half mile down.
