George Washington Birthplace

The George Washington Birthplace National Monument is located on Popes Creek Road in Colonial Beach, VA. It's a historic site that commemorates the birthplace and early life of the first president of the United States, George Washington. The site consists of a number of historic structures, including a replica of the house where George Washington was born which was built on the original foundation. The house is a one-and-a-half-story wooden structure with a gable roof and is furnished with 18th-century furnishings to give visitors a sense of what life was like during Washington's time.
