Historic Occoquan

With a population of less than 1,000 this quaint historic town has a surprising amount of attractions. It also manages to bring in thousands of tourists each year for the Spring and Fall Arts and Crafts Shows. Being located on the banks of the Occoquan River sure helps, too! In fact, "Occoquan" means "at the end of the water" in Algonquian Doeg. This delightful place can be reached easily from the I-95. Exit Gordon Blvd going north which will lead you directly to Occoquan.
