Mabry Mill

Saves: 34

Located in the splendid Blue Ridge Mountains, this grist mill was built in the early 1900s by two ordinary people named Ed and Lizzy Mabry. Over the next decade, they had built up an entire complex complete with a house and blacksmith shop. During the warmer months, the NPS puts on demos of milling, blacksmithing, spinning, and basket-making. And...there's food...plenty of country-style comfort dishes such as pancakes and pot pies at the Mabry Mill Restaurant.
