Description:

This rectangular structure was a generous gift from the people of the Netherlands to the U.S. as a gesture of appreciation for the sacrifices made during WWII. Carillons are musical instruments often found in belfries. This particular carillon has had bells added to it over the years and currently has 50. They play "Westminster Chimes" on the hour and American patriotic music in between. Special songs are also played on May 5 which is Dutch Liberation Day. The Carillon is open every day from 6 AM to 12 AM and is free to visit.
