Description:
Also known as the Mill Mountain Star, this is the largest manmade star illuminated by electricity and not attached to anything else. It was constructed in 1949 for the Christmas season but now it is usually lit up in white. Other colors are used for holidays. The brightly lit star, weighing 10,000 pounds, can be seen from 60 miles away.
