Once bearing the name of a racial epithet, Stone Face Rock is now the more sensitive designation of this geological formation that looks like the profile view of a human head. Even more interesting than its name is the fact that the formation is probably a result of natural occurrences such as wind and rain although there is a chance that it is a Cherokee carving. To this day, no one is 100% sure how the face in the rock came to be.
