Virginia's Natural Tunnel

This tunnel started forming in the last Ice Age and has been in use by animals since prehistoric times. Made of limestone, fossils have been found nearby or embedded in the tunnel walls. The length is measured as 850 feet and the tunnel rises 10 stories high. You can also visit Lover's Leap where apparently two star-crossed lovers - a Shawnee warrior and Cherokee maiden - jumped to their deaths after being forbidden to marry.
