Fire Sale Mural by Obey

Like all of Shepard Fairey's murals this one has a hidden message - one of the negative effects of industry and politics on the environment and the general population. In a twist of irony the term "fire sale" refers to the selling of goods and assets at deep discounts usually because the seller is close to ruin. The mural is located on the side of The State Hotel that faces Pike Street. It's also a short walk away from all the best places in Seattle such as Pike's Place Market and the Aquarium.
