Description:

In a state with plenty of forests it just makes sense that timber would be a large part of its history. This museum catalogs the important logging history of the area, starting in the 1870s when the first settles of European descent came to Forks Prairie. The log cabin structure, a replica of the late 1800s style, was built by volunteers and the High School Carpentry Class of 1989. Hours vary by season; admission is $3 per person.
