Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum

Containing no less than 7,000 nutcrackers, this unique museum was founded by Arlene and George Wagner in 1995. Arlene Wagner had a career as a ballet instructor and thus supervised productions of the Tchaikovsky Christmas ballet. The oldest nutcracker in the museum is a bronze Roman piece that dates back to perhaps 200 BC. The museum and store are open every day of the year, even holidays!
