Mount Rainier

Mount Rainier is the highest mountain in the state of Washington and was known to the Native Americans as Tacoma. While skiing and day-hiking is offered to everyone, overnight camping and mountain climbing require permits due to the unpredictable weather conditions here. It goes without saying - only experience climbers should attempt to ascend the mountain faces.
