North Head Lighthouse

Saves: 47
Check-ins: 8
Two miles from Cape Disappointment and the mouth of the Columbia River is North Head, a rocky promontory is affixed with a 65-foot-tall active lighthouse. It was built in 1898 because the lighthouse on Cape Disappointment could not be seen by ships approaching from the north. The lighthouse was featured on an episode of "Ghost Adventures" regarding rumors of a haunting by the first keeper's wife who had apparently committed suicide. From May to September the lighthouse is open from 11 AM to 3 PM. Admission is $2.50 per adult.
