Description:
Rainbow Falls State Park is a peaceful 129‑acre riverside retreat along the Chehalis River near Chehalis, WA, featuring one of the last old-growth Douglas fir, western hemlock, and cedar stands in the valley. Its name comes from a small basalt cascade whose mist often creates rainbows, and the park offers a network of easy 3‑mile trails, picnic areas, and campsites—including a spur to the Willapa Hills Trail. Managed since 1935 and once developed by the CCC, the park remains a beloved destination for hikers, anglers, horseback riders, and trail cyclists.
