The Gardener Statue

Hayao Miyazaki fans might recognize this friendly steampunk robot from his 1986 anime classic "Castle in the Sky." This wonderful Laputian Robot was created by Darrell Toland who lives in the house behind it. Although it looks to be made entirely from metal, it was fashioned from fiberglass and styrene on a steel and foam frame. While it's not certain what Toland's neighbors have to say about the Gardener guardian, it has a seal of approval from Redditers, Instagrammers, and anime enthusiasts. (Photo by @camilleconsul)
