A bird's-eye view of the New River Gorge National River can be had at this scenic overlook. The park is named for the osprey that inhabit the area. Known for whitewater rafting, Hawk's Nest State Park is a 270-acre recreational facility. There's also an aerial tram but check the website for updates on days of operation. The overlook and facilities are open every day from 11 AM to 5 PM. It's located right off Hwy 60 near Lover's Leap Baptist Church.
