John Brown's Fort

Saves: 7
Check-ins: 15
In 1959, this engine house was commandeered by John Brown, a fervent abolitionist, and his men. They planned to take the fort and its armory in order to build an army to fight slavery. Unfortunately, their rebellion was quashed by the legendary Confederate commander, Robert E. Lee. The engine house is original although it has been moved from the site where the siege took place.
