Mothman Statue

Monsters and aliens seem attracted to sparsely populated areas and West Virginia proudly claims ownership of the Mothman legend made famous by Richard Gere. Not any kitschy statue will do for Point Pleasant - this sculpture is crafted from gleaming stainless steel with gossamer wings and ruby eyes. He truly looks like a harbinger of doom - as many believed him to be when, after his sightings, a nearby bridge collapsed, killing and injuring dozens.
