West Virginia Mine Wars Museum

This museum is dedicated to the toil of the coal miner who helped heat the homes of Americans for decades. Unfortunately, coal miners weren't treated the best and this museum highlights the struggle for better working conditions. Visitors learn about the dangers that miners faced when they were digging for coal - hazards that were all too apparent in recent decades with mining disasters in the state. As well as educating the public this museum instills an appreciation for the hard and grueling labor miners endured for the comfort of their fellow citizens.
