It was opened in 1864 and today, offers visitors an authentic glimpse into the 19th century. The five-story gristmill was built when Wisconsin had been in the Union for a mere 16 years. Inside is a museum of antique equipment and scales as well as a general store. Visitors love to buy delicious, old-fashioned baked goods. The mill and museum is only open on Friday from 10 to 5 and Saturday from 9:15 to 5:15. A donation is suggested for admission.
