Devil's Doorway

A sinister rock formation that could easily be a portal into a darker world, Devil's Doorway is a fitting end to a scenic hike through the glorious Devil's Lake State Park. Viewed during the day the layers of strata are clearly visible - cut into its otherworldly shape by powerful moving glaciers during the last Ice Age. At night the gateway turns into a giant humanoid figure seen clearly against the backdrop of the night sky.

Hiked up to devils doorway. Stopped along the balancing rock. What a great park to go hiking on. Best view around.
