Description:
This small zoo is only 28 acres large but it attracts three-quarters of a million visitors each year partially due to the fact that no admission or parking fees are charged. The preservation of some of the most endangered species is the mission here. One of its projects includes the Monarch Waystation which is a garden for migrating monarch butterflies to sit a spell and replenish their energy for the rest of their journey.
